Where To Live During Your Self-Build

Up to 75% of self-builder's have to sell their current property in order to finance their new home. For many, this will mean renting a flat or house or buying or hiring a mobile home to live in.

Other costs you must budget for include the storage of your furniture and remember to make sure your personal possessions are covered by insurance whilst they are in storage. Look in your local paper for property to rent, remember you do not want to have to travel a long way to your building site each day.

Your local builders merchant would be a good place to advertise for a mobile home to rent or purchase. Alternatively look on one of the many self-build websites where you can pick up second-hand mobile homes, 30' x 10', for somewhere in the region of £2,500 and £3,000.
