LloydsTSB offers mortgage reductions to current account customers

LloydsTSB has today (April 21st) launched a new offering which gives its current account customers a 0.2 per cent reduction on its mortgage interest rates .

The provider has revealed that this offer is available to any current account customers who deposits £1,000 or more each month and are taking out a new mortgage .

According to LloydsTSB, people who opt to take advantage of this offer could save hundreds of pounds per year on their mortgage .

Stephen Noakes, head of mortgages at LloydsTSB, said: "Rewarding our current account customers by helping to reduce the costs of their mortgage payments is just one of the ways LloydsTSB will continue to deliver the best value mortgages and develop deeper relationships with our customers."

Meanwhile, the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) recently revealed an increase in gross lending in March.

The CML estimated there was a 24 per cent rise in gross mortgage lending, up from £9.3 billion in February to £11.5 billion last month.
