Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N&P) has been named Business Lender of the Year, in a field of commercial mortgage lenders.
The CreditToday awards were held in London's Grosvenor House Hotel, with over 1,500 guests attending, featuring many organisations who specialise in business mortgages and commercial mortgages.
N&P executive manager of commercial lending, Robert Lankey, stated that he and colleagues were "absolutely thrilled" to be named the best of business mortgage lenders.
"We're always looking at ways of improving the service we offer to customers and we're not going to rest on our laurels. Product development and making our mortgage processing as smooth as we can, without losing the 'personal touch', are high on our priorities in the coming months," he added.
The competition's judges assessed the mortgage lenders on various categories, including innovation, employee development and customer satisfaction.
Commercial mortgages are currently on a high, with £735 million of commercial property sold in Scotland in the first three months of the year, according to the Scotsman.
UK commercial mortgage lenders are also expected to benefit from increasing numbers of individual private investors into the market through real estate investment trusts and self invested pension schemes, according to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
