Lifetime mortgage rates reduced
Mon, 20 Mar 2006
Norwich Union is offering reduced mortgage rates on some of its lifetime mortgage offerings from today.

The mortgage lender has cut mortgage rates on its fixed-rate lifetime mortgage and its index-linked lifetime mortgage deals.

Those taking out a fixed-rate lifetime mortgage through a mortgage intermediary are offered a reduced mortgage rate of 6.1 per cent annual percentage rate.

Minimum and maximum mortgage rates on the mortgage lender's index-linked lifetime mortgage have also been reduced.

Following the mortgage rate reduction, the minimum mortgage rate is now set at 4.39 per cent, while the maximum mortgage rate will be 9.61 per cent.

"Norwich Union is the leading provider of equity release products in the UK," comments the mortgage lender's director of sales and marketing, Daren Carter.

"We are constantly reviewing our funding and rates and are pleased to be able to take this opportunity to offer consumers these new lower rates on both our lifetime mortgages.
