Alliance &Leicester announced yesterday that it has launched a "straight forward" range of specialist mortgages.
The products will cover mortgages for buy-to-let, self certification and near-prime mortgages and form part of the mortgage lender's aim to provide "a consistent, high impact and efficient service" to mortgage brokers.
Mehrdad Yousefi, head of intermediary mortgages at Alliance &Leicester, states: "We are delighted to be taking our first steps in the specialist mortgage market.
"We intend to focus on offering great deals with a consistent and reliable service, supported by our friendly and knowledgeable staff."
All of the mortgages will be available via mortgage facilitator Premier Mortgage Service as branded Alliance &Leicester products.
John Malone, managing director of Premier Mortgage Service, responded to the announcement by stating: "As a significant facilitator in these sectors, we are delighted to support Alliance &Leicester and assist them with this initial move with the many intermediaries that we have a strong relationship with."
In addition to mortgages, Alliance &Leicester offers a range of financial products, which include personal loans, credit cards, savings accounts and current accounts.
