Prudential has announced that it has been declared as the best lifetime mortgage lender.
The company scooped the prize at the 2006 Equity Release Awards, meaning that it has now picked up three awards this year.
Earlier in 2006, Prudential was recognised by Moneyfacts and Mortgage Strategy for its mortgage.
Prudential's equity release mortgage is available to borrowers aged between 60 and 84, enabling consumers to access the full 35 per cent when they reach 80.
Ali Crossley, Prudential's director of lifetime mortgages, said: "We are delighted to win this award.
"It's satisfying to see that Prudential has again been recognised by financial advisers as the best provider in the market, offering good value for customers and giving advisers innovative products to recommend to their clients."
The expert added that the mortgage product offers flexibility to borrowers, which is key to customer value.
Additionally, the mortgage plan enables consumers to take control of their finances and access the money when appropriate, rather than in one lump sum.
