Advanced training schemes that allow advisers to give advice on remortgages could help Britons to apply online for remortgages .
The Institute of Financial Services launched the Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (advanced CeMAP) last year – and the first group of super mortgage advisers have completed their courses.
The highly trained advisers, who can provide advice on remortgaging, remortgage rates and buy-to-let remortgages, passed additional mortgage advice units such as regulated customer care, supervising in a regulated environment, as well as specific training for lifetime mortgages and commercial mortgages .
David Cope, senior mortgage consultant at Brian Alcock &Associations, one of the first to complete the advanced qualification, explained his pride at now being able to offer expert online remortgage information.
"I felt a sense of real satisfaction upon completion of the advanced CeMAP," he said.
"Achieving advanced CeMAP has enhanced my performance in my current job role within the company, which will also benefit the performance of those I supervise, as I can impart my new knowledge onto them."
