Best online mortgage lender announced
Thu, 01 Dec 2005
First Active has been voted the best mortgage lender for customers who want to apply online for a mortgage.

The mortgage lender's website has been commended for its "clarity and ease of use" by Your Mortgage magazine. The judges also found it to be attractive and easy to navigate.

People who want to find a remortgage use the internet as a first point of reference, says David Jones, the mortgage lender's commercial director.

First Active "very clearly" sets out all the information about the various types of mortgages, mortgage rates and charges for those looking to find a remortgage, says Mr Jones.

"We believe that this open approach is appealing to consumers," he adds, saying the mortgage lender is "delighted" to be named the UK's best online mortgage lender.

"It's great to be recognised as a lender that has made a real effort to make it straightforward and convenient for people to apply for a mortgage," Mr Jones concludes.

The mortgage lender was launched last year and focuses specifically on customers looking to find a remortgage.
