
Kensington Mortgages provides mortgages to borrowers that fall outside the lending criteria of traditional lenders.
It was founded in 1995 and in November 2000, Kensington Mortgages as part of Kensington Group, achieved plc status and became the first stock exchange listed company in the specialist mortgage sector.
By November 2004 it had lent more than £7.9 billion to over 87,000 customers.
One in five people in the UK find it difficult to get a mortgage. Kensington Mortgages specialise in helping people who are self-employed, have irregular income or who have had credit problems in the past.
Kensington Mortgages provides mortgages through intermediaries to borrowers who fall outside the lending criteria of traditional lenders. Products are also available for Buy to Let and Right to Buy and all have self-certification of income options.
