Cost of Buying Property in Poland

Real estate transactions are subject to certain costs

  • The court entry fee (this covers the authenticity of the ownership of the development)
  • Legal Fees
  • Notory Fee

The total cost for these three are approx 2.5% of the total cost of the property.

Sales tax

If the property is sold on within 5 years of purchase it is subject to a tax of 10%.

Lawyers

It is important to seek professional advice, and we advise that you employ a local solicitor who will be fully conversant with the Polish legal system. Most lawyers will tell you in advance what their fees will be. The standard fee is less than 1% of the purchase price plus VAT. This is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
