Negative equity |
Negative equity occurs when the balance of the mortgage exceeds the worth of the house securing the loan. |
Negligence |
Negligence in the buy to let sense refers to something that is committed carelessly or inadvertedly and results in a breach of contract. By law, negligence refers to a breach of care. |

Nuisance |
Nuisance in the property sense means interference with right or enjoyment of land for other people. Private and public nuisance are the two separate types of nuisance, and both are potentially damaging. Both can constitute criminal offences. |
